Pre-doctoral and Post-doctoral Training
The ASU Reach Institute provides a range of opportunities for pre-doctoral and postdoctoral trainees to engage in impactful research. Trainees may contribute to the implementation and evidence-based programs while gaining experience in broader research projects conducted by Reach Scientists.
We are also supported by a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) T32 training grant focused on closing the research-to-practice gap in drug use and HIV prevention. Early-career postdoctoral researchers are encouraged to apply for the T32 Training Fellowship, which offers specialized training, mentorship, and research opportunities in implementation science and prevention research.
Researchers
The ASU Reach Institute offers training and consultation opportunities to researchers at ASU and at other universities, as well as to community members. These opportunities focus on diverse topics, including the development and implementation of prevention and intervention programs, as well as methodology specific to the dissemination and implementation of research. These opportunities also allow researchers to share their work with the scientific community. To learn about current and upcoming trainings, please visit our Events page or contact us.
Community
The ASU Reach Institute offers workshops that train providers and community members to deliver our featured evidence-based programs: ADAPT, Bridges, Family Bereavement, New Beginnings, and Compass for Courage. Trainees are provided with program materials and learn the required skills and knowledge to deliver these programs, and training workshops are both didactic and experiential.
